As: A Tribute to Wonder
stevie wonder is my favorite musical artist of all time.
Period. Full stop. His lyrics. His musicality. His voice. His timeliness and timelessness. I know no better way to honor an artist that has inspired me so much than by creating art. So I wrote a musical based on Stevie Wonder’s music. I started writing it when I was 21 years old and finished the first draft in February 2019. My biggest dream is for it to be produced on Broadway and for Stevie Wonder to be in the building at the opening experiencing it all!
The musical is a big, old school production with lots of dance numbers, songs and a dramatic plot. It centers folks of all races, sexualities and abilities. That’s all I will say about it for now because I’m an artist and I’m sensitive about my $&*t. But here’s the Spotify playlist of the show songs. Enjoy!
